Online Learning Librarian

Hope Kelly is the Online Learning Librarian at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), an urban campus in Richmond, Virginia. VCU is a minority-serving institution where over a third of undergraduates are also first gen students. As the Online Learning Librarian, she collaborates with colleagues in the VCU Libraries and across the university to advance the design and development of the Libraries' online instructional content, environments, and experiences.
She joined the VCU faculty in 2020 after serving as an Assistant Professor of Instructional Design & Technology at the University of Virginia and as an Education and Training Specialist at the University of Florida where she coordinated an online Master of Science program in Agricultural Education & Communication. Her scholarly interests include open educational resources and instructional design in higher education. Before working in higher education, Dr. Kelly was a School Library Media Specilaist at a middle school in Gainesville, Florida.
