Community Outreach Supervisor

Brenda Bentt-Peters is the Community Supervisor for the Outreach Services department of Brooklyn Public Library. She coordinates the out-post sites, providing books, programs and services for unhoused patrons in Brooklyn. She also creates public awareness programs and initiatives around social justice, immigration, seniors and veterans issues. Ms. Bentt-Peters has been with the library since 2002 when she started as a lobbyist in the Government Affairs department. She secured government funding for operational and capital needs for 60 libraries in Brooklyn; and built library advocacy groups to support the libraries’ budgetary and service priorities.
