Delandrus Seales is a Teaching & Learning Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She previously spent 9 years as a school librarian & 1 year as a public library branch manager in Southeastern North Carolina. Ms. Seales earned her MLS degree from East Carolina University as an IMLS Laura Bush Scholarship recipient.
Ms. Seales taught grades K-12 over the past 14 years, including 9 years as a school librarian, & 5 years as a Special Education Teacher. Her experience includes teaching students & staff technology, information literacy, PBL/Inquiry-based Learning, & digital citizenship through integration w/ ELA, STEAM, & Social Studies.
Ms. Seales is currently the NC Technology in Education Society South Director and DEIA Committee Chair, and the NC School Library liasion to the NC Library Association Executive Board. Ms. Seales was a 2017-18 NC School Library Media Association Emerging Leader; a 2018-19 NC State Friday Institute's Digital Leaders Coaching Network East member; & NC School Library Media Association Coastal Director (2019-2022).
