CANCELLED: Representation as Inspiration: ALA Editions | Neal-Schuman Authors on Careers in Literacy and Librarianship

The librarian and the information literacy professions lack diversity. Professional demographics and programming are not genuinely representative of the communities we serve, which is noteworthy because libraries are of high need within those communities. This interactive program explores these important issues with due consideration to how diversity in library staff leadership, library and media literacy programming, and library décor and design can be enhanced for positive and inspiring images of how the profession can impact and include underrepresented populations.
