Associate Librarian; Coordinator of Research Services USC Upstate Library
In the ever-evolving landscape of research services, harnessing the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) can enhance productivity and efficiency. This engaging Shop Talk aims to present three strategies to improve your current research services by simply utilizing AI.
Strategies include how to craft and ask complex assessment questions, conduct comparative analysis of research question approaches between AI and a traditional librarian and optimize service goals through the use of AI suggestions. Additionally, a very brief introduction, including some opportunities and challenges, of AI technologies will be provided. Those with little to no knowledge of using this technology are encouraged to attend.
Learning Objectives:
Craft and ask complex assessment questions through the use of AI technologies and gain diverse perspectives, concise solutions and deeper insights.
Conduct a comparative analysis of research question approaches between AI and a traditional librarian and gain perspective on the differing research responses.
Optimize service goals through the use of AI suggestions and craft a more succinct annual report as a by-product.
